Annual Contractor Conference Promotes Energy Efficiency
The annual Momentum is Building (MIB) conference — sponsored by Iowa’s electric cooperatives —will be held on February 19 and 20, 2026,at the Sheraton West Des Moines Hotel inWest Des Moines.
Each year, Nishnabotna Valley REC sponsors six area home-builders, electricians, heating-plumbing contractors, educators, and real estate professionals planning to attend the event.

A major draw for electricians, plumbers, and HVAC professionals is the opportunity to earn CEU credits at the conference. MIB attendees can also network with industry professionals, hear from recognized industry energy efficiency and building trades experts, and gain insight into trending technologies.

If you are interested in Momentum is Building, Nishnabotna Valley REC will sponsor one employee or contractor per business within the Nishnabotna Valley REC service territory. NVREC-sponsored participants are responsible for a $80 fee without CEUs and a $145 fee with CEUs.
