Nishnabotna Valley REC has business continuity plans in place, and we have been preparing for the potential impact from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in our communities. We are focused on delivering safe and reliable electricity while maintaining a healthy workforce to provide the service you expect.
Planning for a health emergency, such as a pandemic, is unique. It requires businesses to prepare to operate with a significantly smaller workforce and limited support services for an extended period. The co-op will continue to follow the Centers for Disease Control and other local and regional authorities’ guidelines and recommendations.
What can member-consumers do to help?
If you’re able to utilize internet or smartphone technology, we highly encourage the use of the SmartHub system. It is a convenient way to make payments and report service interruptions utilizing a cell phone, tablet, or computer. Given current circumstances, SmartHub’s electronic nature supports social distancing recommendations and reduces phone system congestion.
If you’re unable to take advantage of SmartHub, there are many other ways to pay, including our drop box and mailing of payments. You can still do routine business with the co-op by calling (712) 755-2166 or (800) 234-5122.
