Concern for Community is one of the Seven Cooperative Principles that all rural electric cooperative businesses adhere to as part of their guiding fundamentals. Nishnabotna Valley REC employees accumulate hundreds of hours of volunteer time each year by coaching youth sports, mentoring elementary and middle school children, teaching church programs, and performing general service work to better the communities in which they work and live.
Below are some of the programs that Nishnabotna Valley REC offers member-owners to participate in by helping other members that may be going through some hard times. For more information on these programs, please contact your Cooperative's office at 712-755-2166 or 800-234-5122.
