75th Anniversary of Nishnabotna Valley REC

2011 marked the 75th Anniversary of the original incorporation of your cooperative. With help from you, our members, we put together a book about the history of Nishnabotna Valley REC.
Over the last several months many of the cooperative's members called or wrote to tell us about how electricity changed their life in rural Iowa. These recorded accounts of history have made our 75th Anniversary Book a special tribute to the men and women who had the integrity and foresight to build a rural electric system that provided reliable, dependable and affordable power to farms in Southwest Iowa. Now 75 years later, Nishnabotna Valley REC staff and line crews still value the opportunity to serve our members. We strive to continue the legacy of developments in energy and electricity that have significantly enhanced your way of life.
